Introduction to Birding – Beginner Bird Walk
MAY 28 & 30 – Join us for a birding adventure through the varied habitats at the ºÚÁÏ¿Æ Nature Center. During this workshop, ºÚÁÏ¿Æ staff will open your eyes and ears to the avian life around you and help you build the skills to start birding wherever you go. This workshop is designed for the beginner to intermediate birder.
Intro to Nature Journaling
MAY 30 – Take a break from hectic and hustle and embrace nature through the practice of mindfulness. Nature Journaling is all about the process. Get started with prompts to spark your creativity, and meet one of our live ambassador birds to bring inspiration. This class will offer a mix of prompts and tips for writing about and drawing from nature and in the end each participant will take home a journal that is entirely unique!
Natural Wonders
Join us on a journey of discovery through the wonders of the natural world. Designed for families with young children, this short interactive program explores a range of engaging topics including animals of New England, animal engineers, and local habitats.
Raptors Up Close
Take flight with us on an unforgettable experience! We’ll show you the unique nature of some of the world’s most highly skilled predators – raptors! In this live bird demonstration you’ll gain an up-close view and an in-depth understanding of these majestic birds.
Songbird Aviary Tour
Spend some time in our Songbird Aviary! Our docents will familiarize you with this special group of birds and point out the ways you can make a great habitat for these important creatures in your own backyard.
Raptor Feeding Time
Join our raptor care-givers for feeding time! Learn about the habits and history of each of the resident raptors at ºÚÁÏ¿Æ as you watch them enjoy their daily meal.
